Dierenpret Houten
Dierenpret Houten was fun. For those who don’t know what it is, Dierenpret (translation: Animal Fun) is a animal event that takes place three times a year in either Houten, Zwolle or Utrecht in the Netherlands. Dierenpret is divided into four categories, Rodents, Cats, Ferrets, and Reptiles. Basically on such a event you can buy toys and other sort of things for your pets, look at all the cats, guinea pigs and hamsters that are participating in contests, get information about certain animals, and at the rodents and reptiles sections you could buy animals as well. This event is pretty popular among people at Dutch animal/pet message boards, so the event also serves as a sort of safe forum meeting place.
Anyway, I went there with my mother. We had to take a bus, a train, another train, and a taxi (which we shared with two nice girls that are active on the Dutch rat forum) to get in Houten, and once we were at the place were the event was held, we had to stand in line for at least an hour before we could finally buy our tickets and go inside. Once inside we went straight to the rodent-section cause I was meeting up with some people of the Dutch hamster forum. After that we just basically looked around everywhere and I bought some things as well. At the end of the day I went home with three new hamsters and four big bags filled with goods for my hamsters and ferrets.
Here is a picture of some of the stuff I've bought:

By the way, I’ve finished my pets page. You will also find my three new hamsters (Moon, Lucius, and Severus) there.
