Pets
I have a lot of pets, but that’s because they are made of win! My animals are always there to cheer me up (even if they have no clue they’re doing so) when I’m feeling down, and always manage to plaster a smile to my face. I currently share my home with one cat, two ferrets, two rabbits, six hamsters and six guinea pigs. In the past I’ve also had birds and a dog.

Spikey is a beautiful red tabby of 5 years old. We got him from a friend who’s cat had a litter. He’s really sweet and is quite attached to “his” people and very well behaved for a cat. Otto is a neutered albino male of 3 years old and was the first ferret that came into our household. Otto is a very sweet boy that wouldn’t hurt a fly. He doesn’t bite, not even playfully. He does love to play (and hide my stuff) and can go pretty crazy sometimes with his “Weasel War Dance”. He also loves to go outside on a leash and dig in dirt. No plants and flowers are safe for him.

Smeagol is a neutered male of 2 years old. I got him together with Freddy from Alyssa’s ferret shelter. Smeagol has a very gentle and calm character and is the most relaxed one of the trio.

Freddy is a neutered male of 4 years old. I got him together with Smeagol from Alyssa’s ferret shelter. Freddy loves to play but also loves to follow me around. He loves walking outside (on a leash) and he likes to kiss his humans.

Bella is a agouti dwarf hamster. I bought her from the local pet store. Hands in her cage are scary in her book but outside the cage she’s a real sweetheart. When I’m holding her, she will sit still, look around and lick my fingers. She also likes to wash herself repeatedly when sitting on my hand. Puk is a male cream/white guinea pig and is currently 3 years old. Puk comes from a pet store in Rotterdam. He used to share a cage with Gohan, but after Gohan died, he got the company of Pippin and Merry. Unfortunately he didn’t get along with Merry, so now it’s just Puk and Pippin sharing a cage. Puk is very curious and usually comes straight at you whenever you open his cage. He’s also a real chatterbox and is always begging for some yummy vegetables.

Pippin is a white/creme guinea pig. He and Merry are brothers and came from a hobby breeder, CS Amigo. Pip shares his cage with Puk. Unlike Puk, he is very shy and usually hides under his little wooden bridge.

Merry is a white/creme guinea pig. He and Pippin are brothers and came from a hobby breeder, CS Amigo. Merry used to share a cage with Puk and Pippin but unfortunately Merry was too dominant towards Puk which resulted in fights between the two. He also bullied his brother around so I put Merry in another cage. He sat there alone for a while but after two months he finally got himself a new litty piggy friend named Oscar.

Oscar is the latest addition to the guinea pig family. He’s a lovely black & white male Peruvian. I got him when he was 5 weeks old from the Zoomart (pet store) here in Lommel. I just couldn’t resist him. He shares a cage with Merry and so far they get along pretty well.

Muck is a lovely but shy Coronet that shares a home with Puck. They originally belonged to my sister, however since early July 2008, I am the new owner of these lovelies. Muck’s favourite passing of time is sitting on top of his wooden home.

My dad bought Muppet and Nijn for me. I don’t know why I named her Muppet, I just kept calling her that whenever she did something crazy so I figured why not just name her that? She’s very bold and brave and can be a bit cheeky sometimes. She’s your typical bunny, doesn’t like to be hold but loves to hop around when she has a cage-free moment.

Nijn is the opposite of Muppet. She’s very calm and is more of a rabbit that sits back and watch what’s going on around her. In her cage, she can be a tad curious though. I also often see her grooming Muppet.
